Zo denk ik er ook over. Ik geloof nooit dat ze punten gaan moeten inleveren. Maar ALS daadwerkelijk bewezen wordt dat de kennis gebruikt is in de huidige wagen van McLaren mogen ze voor mijn part uit het kampioenschap worden gezet.

Bij straf voor McLaren zal men zeggen dat de FIA voor Ferrari is en zonder straf dat McLaren voor getrokken wordt.

Tja als bewezen wordt dat er iets gebruikt is dan mag, nee moet, voor mij Mclaren eruit gegooid worden voor dit jaar. En misschien nog langer als de FIA straffen zoals aan BAR indertijd wil opleggen.

Als McLaren iets gedaan heeft wat niet door de beugel kan, moeten ze bestraft worden. Anders kun je wetten en regels wel overboord gooien. De hele F1 is dan niet meer geloofwaardig.Maar dan is seizoen 2007 wel naar de klo.. Dus dit is een fijn dilemma voor de FIA. En volgens mij kan McLaren nog in hoger beroep gaan en eventueel naar het hoger gerechtshof.Dan is seizoen 2007 allang voorbij voordat er een uitspraak komt.

"Een buitengewone hoorzitting van het FIA World Motor Sport Council zal zich vandaag buigen over de spionagezaak bij Ferrari waar ook McLaren een vermeend aandeel in heeft via haar hoofdontwerper Mike Coughlan.

Grond van de zaak zal zijn of Coughlan, die in het bezit werd gesteld van een 780 pagina's tellend confidentiëel Ferrari-document, deze vertrouwelijke gegevens ook daadwerkelijk heeft gedeeld met andere werknemers bij McLaren en/of dat hij ze gebruikt heeft bij de ontwikkeling van de McLaren-bolide.

Ferrari beweert in ieder geval dat McLarens voordeel in het wereldkampioenschap van dit jaar te wijten is aan het feit dat Mike Coughlan in het bezit was van de Ferrari-documenten.

"Het verschil tussen de twee teams in het wereldkampioenschap is zo klein dat het waarschijnlijk is dat het superieur aantal punten van McLaren een gevolg is van het feit dat haar hoofdontwerper deze Ferrari-documenten had," las een document van de Italiaanse renstal aan het Londense hooggerechtshof.

Edit: Stepney zou dus niet alleen een mail gestuurd hebben over de flex-bodem, in totaal stuurde hij 3 mails naar Coughlan. 1 over de bodem, 1 over de flappen van de achtervleugel en één over de remmen van de Ferrari.

Hoezo, in hun eigen vingers snijden??

De FIA snijdt niet in hun eigen vingers als ze er een team of rijder uitgooien!
De FIA stelt de regels op en moet zorgen dat ze nageleeft worden.

Als de FIA Mclaren diskwalificeert, dan zal men weer zeggen dat het seizoen te saai geworden is doordat Mclaren eruit gedonderd is en daardoor Ferrari makkelijk WK wordt.

Eender hoe het uitdraait, de anti-reclame voor de sport zal er zijn.
Wat je wel kan stellen is dat 'als' de FIA Mclaren eruit gooit zoals ze bij BAR deden dat ze dan in de vingers van de FOM snijdt maar meer niet.

Hét grote ding aan die verklaring van Ferrari van gisteren is of ze deze ook in Parijs zo hard uit de doeken mogen doen.
Of ze bewijzen hebben dat bepaalde onderdelen gemaakt zijn zoals op de Ferrari of in die bundel zat. Als ze inderdaad ook e-mails zouden hebben tja dan is het zeker gebruikt geweest.
Hoewel dat van die bodems al veer eerder in de pers is verschenen. (maja k ken de datum van de mail niet)

Volgens mij komen enkel de vragen van de FIA aan bod en aansluitend (eventueel) vragen of opmerkingen van Ferrari.

De claim van 5,5 miljoen die hebben ze gedaan dat ALS Mclaren de FIA moet betalen dat ze ook iets aan Ferrari moeten. De beschuldigingen vindt ik niet mals maar we zullen het resultaat van vandaag en van de volgende 'buitengewone vergadering' moeten afwachten.

Als de FIA Mclaren diskwalificeert, dan zal men weer zeggen dat het seizoen te saai geworden is doordat Mclaren eruit gedonderd is en daardoor Ferrari makkelijk WK wordt.

Als McLaren geschorst wordt is dat wederom een zware klap voor de F1, en heeft de rest van het seizoen totaal geen nut meer. Ferrari haalt dan op z'n een been overal de dubbel, wat nefast is voor kijkcijfers en de toeschouwersaantallen. 'K kan mij niet voorstellen dat er dan nog iemand 2 u lang naar een race gaat kijken...

Of McLaren die gegevens ECHT heeft gebruikt, of dat het enkel die ene persoon was die de info van Ferrari in z'n bezit had weet ik totaal niet. Wat mij dan wel weer opvalt is dat de McLaren totaal, maar dan ook totaal geen gelijkenissen vertoont met de Ferrari, dus lijkt het mij niet dat de wagen gebasseerd is op de Ferrari...

McLaren schuldig maar krijgt geen straf

De Wereld Motorsport Raad oordeelde dat McLaren onwettig in het bezit was van documenten van Ferrari maar kon zonder bewijs dat die documenten ook effectief gebruikt zijn geen straf toekennen. Als dat bewijs wel opduikt krijgt het team een hoge rekening gepresenteerd en wordt het uitgesloten uit het kampioenschap.

De Wereld Motorsport raad kwam tot de conclusie dat Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in het bezit was van vertrouwelijke informatie van Ferrari. Het team heeft daardoor artikel 151c van de International Sporting Code geschonden.

    Er is echter onvoldoende bewijs dat deze informatie ook werd gebruikt om het FIA Formule 1 kampioenschap te beïnvloeden, daarom leggen we geen straf op.

    Als er in de toekomst wordt vastgesteld dat de informatie van Ferrari toch werd gebruikt om het kampioenschap te beïnvloeden zullen we Vodafone McLaren Mercedes opnieuw voor de WMR roepen. Het team riskeert dan een uitsluiting uit de kampioenschappen van 2007 en 2008.

    De WMR zal Mr. Stepney en Mr. Coughlan oproepen om hen te vragen waarom zij niet voor een lange periode uit de internationale motorsport zouden moeten worden verbannen. De WMR heeft het gerechtelijke departement van de FIA met deze zaak belast.
